Apply Online For Georgia Disability?

You can submit a Georgia disability application online if you choose to visit the Social Security Administration website at www.socialsecurity.gov/disabilityonline.  The Georgia Disability application should be filled out if you are seeking to get monthly benefits through the SSDI or the SSI program: both which apply to those individuals with long-term disabilities or permanent disabilities.  A Georgia disability application will take anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes to prepare for as you accumulate necessary documentation, and fifteen to twenty minutes to complete online.

The application online is a systematic process and you are guided through the application as you file it.  You will be required to answer all of the questions on the application and you will have to provide information about the type of documentation you have to verify your claims.  These documents will later have to be sent to the SSA for the purposes of verification.

Before you begin the application read all of the instructions you are provided with; if you still have questions that remain after examining the information supplied you are encouraged to call the SSA any time between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm on weekdays at the following phone number: (800) 772-1213.  If you have difficulties with hearing you can take advantage of the TTY service by calling phone number (800) 325-0778.  If you would prefer to apply in person and to speak with a representative you can call the latter toll free phone numbers to make an appointment at your local SSA office.   The system online can also be used by individuals who are applying for benefits for another individual as well; the individual doing the application simply answers the questions as if they were the disabled individual. If you receive a denial on your initial claim for benefits, you do have the right to appeal the decision.
